Compare your business energy the same way

EnergySorted now costs business electricity the way it costs your home: every business plan on your network, priced on your real usage — ex-GST, with demand charges read straight off your bill — ranked cheapest first and proven against what you pay now. A separate business workspace under the one login.

  • Business plans, ex-GST
  • Demand charges priced
  • Multi-site invoices split

A business bill is not a big household bill. It is billed ex-GST, it often carries a demand charge (a dollar figure per kilowatt of your highest measured peak, on top of the usage rate), and one invoice can cover several sites on different networks. Compare it on a residential basis and the ranking is simply wrong. EnergySorted reads the demand charge and the GST basis out of your business bill, costs the right business plans for each site, and proves the saving against what you actually pay — the same method that already works for homes.

For business

Why comparing business energy needs its own engine

Business plans, priced ex-GST

Retailers publish a separate set of plans for business customers, and business bills are quoted ex-GST. EnergySorted costs your business site against those business plans on an ex-GST basis, so the numbers line up with the bill in front of you instead of a consumer estimate.

Your business lives in its own workspace with its own subscription, completely separate from your home account. One login, switch between them from the top bar — home stays home, business stays business.

Demand charges, read off your bill

Many commercial tariffs charge for demand: a dollar amount for every kilowatt of your highest measured peak in the period, on top of what you pay per kilowatt-hour. It is often the biggest line on the bill and the one residential comparisons ignore entirely.

EnergySorted reads the demand figure straight from your business bill and prices it into every plan it can — so a plan with a low usage rate but a punishing demand charge can’t hide at the top of the list. Where a plan’s demand charge can’t be priced from what your bill states, we rank it with the charge clearly flagged as unpriced rather than quietly costing it at zero.

One invoice, many sites — split automatically

Businesses with more than one premises often get a single invoice covering every site, each on its own network with its own usage. EnergySorted splits a multi-site bill into a comparison per site, because the cheapest plan in one network area is rarely the cheapest in another.

Open the portfolio to see every site at once: the total you could save across the business, with a card for each premises showing its best business plan and what it costs today.

The saving is proven, then watched

As with home, we reproduce your current business bill from your plan’s published rates first. If we can’t match what you actually paid, we say so rather than quote a number built on a misread. Only then do we show what each alternative would have cost over the same period.

And it keeps working: every night we re-cost the market against your latest business bill and tell you if something genuinely cheaper appears or your current plan quietly raises its rates. We take no retailer commissions, so the ranking answers to you.

Questions

For business: straight answers

Is the business subscription separate from my home account?

Yes. Your business is its own workspace with its own subscription, kept completely separate from your home account, under the one login. If you already have a home membership you keep it and pay for business on top; if you only run a business you just have the business workspace. You switch between home and business from the top bar, and each is billed on its own.

How does EnergySorted handle GST on a business bill?

Business energy is billed ex-GST, so EnergySorted costs your business site against business plans on an ex-GST basis. That way the figures match the bill in front of you rather than a GST-inclusive consumer estimate. It reads the GST basis from the bill itself, so you don’t have to tell it.

Does it price demand charges?

Yes, wherever your bill gives us enough to price it. Many commercial tariffs charge for demand — a dollar amount per kilowatt of your highest measured peak in the period, on top of the usage rate. EnergySorted reads that figure straight from your bill (or derives it from interval data if you upload it) and prices it in, because on a lot of business sites it is the single biggest cost and the one residential comparisons ignore. If a plan’s demand charge can’t be priced from what we have, we still show the plan but flag the figure as energy-only rather than pretending the charge is zero.

I have several sites on one invoice. Can it compare each one?

It can. EnergySorted splits a multi-site business invoice into a separate comparison for each premises, costs each against the business plans on that site’s own network, and rolls them up into a portfolio so you can see the total saving across the whole business as well as site by site.

What does the business product cost?

It starts with a 7-day free trial and no card required. After that it is the same low yearly fee as the home membership, billed separately for the business workspace. Because EnergySorted takes no retailer commissions, that flat fee is the only thing it earns — the ranking is ordered purely by what is cheapest for your business.

Do you compare every business retailer?

Yes. EnergySorted compares whole-of-market: every business plan from every AER-listed retailer serving your site’s network, re-checked nightly. It takes no retailer commissions, so nothing can buy its way up the ranking — the cheapest business plan for you is simply the cheapest business plan for you.
